Death Note Review
Note: This Review may contain spoilers
Death Note is perhaps one of the most famous anime titles out there. It combines
something rarely seen in anime, suspense
with a perfect amount of action and drama.
Death Note focuses around notebooks that
possess the ability to kill any human whose
name is written in it. When a brilliant student
picks up one of these notebooks the entire
world begins to change as he starts to kill
off all the criminals in the world in order to
make himself a God. Death Note is an Yagami Light holding a Death Note
absolutely amazing series with a story and style that we had never seen before.
Animation
The animation though not the best we have seen is still above average. It has nice
clear animation in a very dark style type of
anime. The style takes a slight shift around
halfway through the series and we slowly
see more light and not as gloomy settings
but the cold and and dark style is still
present. There is a noticeable change in the
animation that we cant really put our finger
on. The anime though not too violent does
have scenes of blood especially near the Light with his Death God Ryuk
end and death is a very prevalent theme that is seen throughout the entire series.
Characters
Well what can I say, this is definitely one of the shining parts of the anime. The
characters are developed very well in the series, we see and hear all their thoughts
and this is done beautifully in the anime. The idea of seeing every thought and idea of
the main characters and how they put their
plans into action was what amazed us the
most. One of the best characters that we
have seen was the mysterious detective
named "L" whose personality and
demeanor impressed us a great deal. The
main character Yagami Light was just as
evil as he was impressive, stopping at
"L" the Worlds most famous Detective nothing to gain his goals.
Plot
Amazing, one of our favorite anime plots of all time. So original and flawlessly made,
the plot is the key to this anime's greatness. We don't want to spoil to much so we will
keep it simple, the plot is never boring and
even the first episode is fast paced and will
leaving wanting to watch the next episode
right away. The plot really escalates itself
best near the beginning but does start to
trail a little near the end as the plots get
so elaborate that even we the viewers will
be confused.

Soundtrack
This is one of our favorite soundtracks sending chills up our spines when we first
heard it. The soundtrack fits perfectly with the style of this anime and is fit into the
anime at the exact moments that will keep you at the edge of your seat.
Overall
One of the best anime we have ever seen. An amazing plot with its absolutely perfect
soundtrack really defines this anime from others. Though the plot and story did trail a
bit near the end the first half of the anime series was outstanding. A solid choice for
the next anime series that you want to watch.
