Kaze no Stigma Review

Note: This Review may contain spoilers

A creative and quite well made series, Kaze no Stigma is about a story of a young
man who tries to escape his past but is forced to face it again when unfortunate
deaths start to occur and he is the prime
suspect. Kaze no Stigma has its own light
novel in Japan and the anime series runs
for 24 episodes. Overall quite a nice series,
not a lot of blood or violence but still has a
decent amount of action. Filled with both
emotion and humor Kaze no Stigma is a
nice little series that we enjoyed.

Animation

Quite nicely done, the animation in Kaze no Stigma is above average. The animation
of certain elements, mainly fire and wind, makes battle scenes interesting. Along with
the nice animation comes along a long line
of fantasy related themes. There are many
fantasy based things throughout the series
such as fairies and powers that you would
not normally see in other series. But we
were a bit disappointed about how many
of these things are not elaborated on in the
anime and many things are left in the open
for the viewers interpretation.

Characters

Nothing too special but the characters each do have their own little flair. The anime
does go into the character's pasts quite a bit and builds up suspense in Kazuma's
case. Their is a wonderful variety of colorful
characters in the series but many of them
are left out after one appearance and are
never seen again. But the main characters
do have visible development in the series
and many bonds are formed. We were
impressed with each of the character's
growth near the end of the series which we
will not go into detail about but we did enjoy

this aspect of the anime.

Plot

Well the plot is short and sweet thats about the only way that we can really describe it.
The plot is kinda original but with the idea of demons and mages using elements to
fight them is kinda overused in other series.

Soundtrack

Hmmmm.... none to speak of

Overall

Despite all of our criticisms, Kaze no Stigma is not that bad, it needs to be tweaked a
little but the last few episodes were wonderfully made. Kaze no Stigma is worth your
time to watch.
